The New Year 2025 has just started, and the universe already presents us with exciting surprises. As reported by NASA, a planetary parade featuring four planets—Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars—is set to occur on January 21, 2025. While planetary parades are not rare, they happen only a few times a year, making this event worth witnessing.

During the planetary parade, the four planets (Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars) will line up along the ecliptic, making them visible in a straight line in the night sky and offering an impressive sight.

What is a planetary parade?

A planetary parade occurs when multiple planets, primarily Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars, appear to align in a straight line, resembling a procession in the night sky. Hence, the name “planetary parade.”

How to watch the planetary alignment on January 21, 2025?

To view the planetary alignment, find a location away from city lights and obstructions like buildings or towers to ensure all the planets are visible. While you won’t need a telescope or binoculars to see these planets, using a telescope will provide a much more stunning view.
